Scopa, along with other popular Italian card games such as Briscola, Tressette (three sevens) and Sette e Mezzo (Seven and a half) are played with a traditional Italian deck of cards. Card designs vary across the different regions of Italy and in Scopa 09, the cards are beautifully rendered with the Napoletana design.
Note on assisted card collecting:
Computer assists player on his/her turn by collecting cards from the table when there is only 1 choice of cards for the player to collect. If there is more then 1 choice, the player will be prompted to select the table cards they wish to collect.
Latest reviews of Scopa 09 app for iPhone and iPad
This is a fun alternative to the many boring poker apps out there. But the programme consistently plays poorly, enabling you to win almost every game, which is no fun.
I give you four stars as this is a fantastic game of Scopa. So real. The 3D brings this game to life, even the cards have shadows. For playing on my own this one is great. I really want to play my pals at the bistro. Please add internet multiplayer for a five star review. If I could play multiplayer then this one would rule the roost. Only four stars until then. Good job keep it up.
Blegh! I know its an asthetic thing but iScopa allows you to have all the different regions. Great gimmick on the 3D but not enough to take me away from iScopa. iScopa shows you where all the cards at the end go, it was enough to have my girlfriend learn from a visual rather than an instructional method. Plus Scopa 09 does not have any multiplayer. Good job and keep updating, I look forward to any future updates.
Scopa09 is a fun little app. The 3D layout is beautiful and the computer saying "Scopa!" after a sweep is fun. A couple of drawbacks: missing multiuser functionality and plays like its set on "easy." iScopa has more features however it is also more expensive. Im eager to see what features Binary Tonic adds for the next version.
This game is good but easy to beat. If you want to play against real people on the internet then try scopa cards. same price
